  • The JITHPL Project manager will provide local support to the Principal Project Manager in the delivery of the project. Under this scope of activity the JITHPL project manager will
    Monitor the project plan and the activities of the project including the deliverables and project milestones.
  • Assist in tracking and controlling the project. This would include participating in weekly and monthly review meetings. Tracking documentation in ensuring there is timely delivery from both the principal and the client.
    Internal project tracking
  • Adopting an internal tracking and monitoring system within JITHPL. This would be through a report generated to the senior management. The objective of the report is to update the senior management on the status of the project as well as escalating issues which cause delay or discrepancy within the project. The system of escalation is through a three colour system ( Green, Amber and Red – in the order of urgency ) which is escalated by the project managers through the project director to Chairman for urgent attention.
  • Work Allocation
    The JITHPL Project Manager in discussion with the Principal Project Manager will allocate the work required. The attendance of the support team will be monitored monthly attendance records and will inform the Finance and Administration section if any issue occurs.
  • Fault Observation and Tracking
    The JITHPL project manager will monitor all fault observations raised during the software and hardware implementation. JITHPL support staff will assist the principal technical staff in the logging of these problems through the Help Desk procedure This task will taken over by the JITHPL Solution Support Manager during post implementation / Maintenance stage if required.
  • Maintaining project filing
    For every significant project a file is maintained by the project manager , which includes project and quality plans, status reports and other related information. By the regular review of these files the performance of the project is monitored to identify early, any deviations from plan. Concerns are notified to the project and line management as appropriate
    Activities for projects front – ended by JITHPL
  • The Project Manager will design and formulate a project plan and a quality plan in conjuction with Project deliverables and milestones.
  • Design and direct project control and monitoring mechanism to ensure timely delivery of the project. This would include monitoring all JITHPL deliverables such as hardware, software and other equipment and resources coming under the scope of the solution.
  • Initiate documentation processes and procedure for all project documentation. A master file would be maintained by the project manager which would include the contract , terms of reference ( TOR), project plan , quality plan and status reports and all project correspondence as deemed important.
  • To have in place a internal reporting procedure. This would enable the relevant stakeholders and the senior management to updates on the progress of the project. The report would also serve as a tracking and escalating device for any delays that occur which cannot be handled at operational level.
  • Quality Procedure : The quality functionality is designed to support the company line management in ensuring that commercial, technical, operational and quality risks are understood and appropriately managed. The function is performed by the staff of the Project and Professional Services division which incorporates, technical review, project monitoring and improvement functions.
  • Quality documentation : these would include all documentation pertaining to the delivery of the project such as quality procedure for evaluating of suppliers sign -off documentation ,operational and payment documentation. These documentation will be developed in consultation with the Finance, Operations and Administration Division of JITHPL.
