  • Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) System 

RTGS system enables banks and financial institutions to make secure, high-value, inter-bank payments virtually instantaneously across the country. As Logica’s (now CGI) representative in Sri Lanka, JIT was the project implementation partner and Professional Services provider for support and maintenance in this prestigious landmark project. This project won The Banker magazine’s Technology Awards 2004 for the RTGS & SSS Project at Central Bank of Sri Lanka.


  • Scripless Security Settlement System (SSSS)

Logica’s (now CGI) Government Scripless Security Settlement System (SSSS) is a purpose-built, award-winning, tried, and tested securities settlement product. It allows settlement of government debt instruments in electronic script less form and settlement on a delivery versus payment basis. Sri Lanka is the first in South Asia to implement RTGS and Scripless Securities Trading. The RTGS and SSSS are products of Logica, a global player in the field of IT, implemented together on the project.


  • ATM Switch & Upgrade

The electronic switching application software “COSES” (now Atos Origin) runs on an HP Non-Stop system for People’s Bank. This turnkey project included interfacing with multiple core banking solutions and other applications, the supply of Wide Area Network infrastructure, Local Area networks for 100 branches, and complete project management. Phase II saw JIT being awarded the implementation of the Disaster Recovery Centre.

Upgrade of ATM Switch

JIT will continue to provide and be involved in the total solution offerings in implementation process, supply and installation of the hardware with L1 support and maintenance – a continued service of 16 years and counting. The Support and Maintenance business unit is a key strength and backbone of JIT, which has paved the way towards the two decade industry longevity, supporting the business on its journey into the next decade.

  • Core Banking System

Silverlake SDN BHD of Malaysia, implemented the Core Banking system, for Peoples’s Bank, catering to over 8 million customer accounts. Running on IBM I-series systems, the project connects over 400 locations island-wide as at date. (Roll out ongoing) As Silverlake’s representative in Sri Lanka, JIT provides Level 1 support for the system with on-site support and undertakes new branch rollouts.


  • Customer Care & Billing

Sri Lanka Telecom implemented the “Geneva” (now known as Infinys) Integrated Customer Care and Billing System of Convergys, for a robust and convergent billing for multiple products and services Described as one of the largest IT projects in Sri Lanka, SLT is now equipped with the cutting edge technology offering enhanced features in customer care and billing. As Convergys’ Representative in Sri Lanka, JIT was the professional services partner from inception for project implementation, facilitation, and provision of professional services. JIT Group continues to provide on-site maintenance services for L1 and L2 support.


  • Mediation Manager Project

Convergys (now Concentrix) Mediation Manager intelligently collects and correlates information from a variety of networks and service nodes for use by service providers’ operational support systems and other downstream systems. At SLT, the Convergys’ Mediation Manager integrated the Customer Care and Billing Solution with the OSS to provide the total billing solution. JIT’s role is to provides Level 1 & Level 2 support & maintenance of the Convergys’ Infinys mediation manager.


  • Operations Support System (OSS)

Clarity Inc Australia represented in Sri Lanka by JIT Group secured the Provisioning system for Sri Lanka Telecom and Mobitel, where JIT group provided on-site Support Services.


  • Next Generation IP/ MPLS Backbone Network Expansion II

JIT and Juniper Networks was awarded this prestigious project in November 2006. This was for the Supply and Installation for the expansion of the Core IP/MPLS Backbone network. SLT provided DSL access, IP VPN services, and NGN, towards the network, which connected 5 geographical locations with Juniper M320 High-end MPLS Routers which linked up to existing MPLS core network.


  • Treasury Management System

In view of the growth of the foreign exchange reserves of the country, the Central Bank embarked on a modernisation project at the International Operations Department, which conducts international reserves management activities. This process entails the modernisation of the dealing room which includes the procurement of a modern Treasury Management System which would facilitate the smooth operations of the foreign exchange transactions carried out by the Central Bank and enable the expansion of the scope and extent of the reserves management activities. Guava Suite – CCK’s treasury management and wholesale banking system – will be used to manage the entire treasury operation, covering dealing, risk management, settlement, accounting, and reporting. The system will also be used for the Central Bank’s international reserve management activities. JIT is the system integrator as well as a local support provider once the system is live.


  • National Common Card and Payment Switch (CCAPS) & Upgrade

LankaClear’s Common Card & Payment Switch (CCAPS) was implemented by Just In Time Group (JIT) as the Systems Integrator, and with FIS as the strategic technology partner. JIT’s role in this project is for the Supply, Delivery, Installation, Configuration, Implementation, Commissioning and Maintenance of the CCCAPS system including provisioning training. Furthermore, from a support perspective JIT role is to provide 24×7 L1 & L2 Support since commencement of the project. All the switches are managed by JIT, including Business Continuity Planning exercises.

The Common ATM Switch was launched in 2013 as the first phase of the Common Card & Payment Switch (CCAPS), rolled out under the brand name LankaPay. Over the years, the network has grown to connect 99.95% of all ATMS in the county with 24×7, 365 day operations, enabling customers to use any ATM in the country at their convenience. With LankaPay Common ATM Switch, customers can now use any ATM to withdraw money and check account balance at an affordable cost.

With the objective of maintaining a common platform for the settlements of electronic retail fund transfers in the country, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has recommended the establishment of the Common Card and Payment Switch (CCAPS) and appointed LankaClear (Pvt.) Ltd. (LCPL) to set up, administer and operate CCAPS, which is a network of interoperable switches which are the; Common ATM Switch, Common POS Switch, Common EFT Switch, Common Mobile Switch and the Shared ATM Switch.

These switches were implemented collectively incorporating a common trade name/brand name and logo in the country as “LankaPay”. CCAPS has been designated by the Monetary Board of CBSL as the National Payment Switch, which will facilitate real-time communication and processing of payment orders and other messages – effecting, ordering, enabling, authorizing and facilitating interbank fund transfers and ATM transactions amongst LankaPay members.


  • Digital Banking

JIT reached another milestone in Sri Lanka’s tech landscape by assisting People’s Bank in its digitisation journey. This commenced in 2015 with the building of necessary infrastructure, where a growing number of People’s Bank branches are now complete ‘digital branches’ that allow customers to be fully on board with all services without having to visit the branch, increasing the ease of access for banking services.

JIT provides support services for the bank’s the digital banking platform, providing specific and specialised Hardware and Infrastructure support service for the system, with front ending and back ending support, as the key areas needing continuous health checks. The support services provided are 24X7 to maintain uninterrupted Digital services, with L1 and L2 support along with their Solution partner to deliver end-to-end support banks require. In the current situation, JIT’s Support teams are on standby 24X7, while they working and connecting remotely for support, with frequent health checks to mitigate any downtime issues.

Additionally, JIT also provides the hardware and system support to the ATM network with our partner, providing the Application support services for the Digital Channels with onsite support assistance.

  • EMV Complied chip cards

JIT together with Gemalto, a Thales Company, entered into an agreement with Nations Trust Bank (NTB) to Manufacture, Personalize and Deliver EMV compliant cards. This project continues, 5 years running, providing AMEX chip cards to NTB, while its personalization is being executed by, Gemalto Singapore, personalization centre.


  • Storage Area Network (SAN) Storage System

The importance of this service is this high-end storage platform is a vital system to run all internal mission critical applications for the customer as this is a Realtime performance monitoring dashboard and incident logging support for all the hardware requirements. Monitoring SAN storage infrastructure proactively and take actions to correct and improve the system performance and availability continuously is essential for no disruptions for system to run smoothly. The project was implemented by JIT together with their ICT Partner DellEMC.

JIT provides continuous support to maintain service levels, onsite, with 24×7, 365-days coverage by their four members, even during this time, due to the critical service of the storage application service


  • Electronic National Identity (eNIC) Card Project

JIT jointly with IRIS Corporation Berhad (IRIS) commenced the project for the supply and delivery of a secured electronic National Identity card product, for the Department for Registration of Persons (DRP). As per the agreed and committed timelines JIT and IRIS supplied 100% polycarbonate-based material identity cards including eleven security features that commenced in Feb 2019.


  • Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Solution

JIT together with KPMG India commenced to Install, configure the environment set-up of SAS Anti-Money Laundering and its components in the 3 environments -Development & UAT, Disaster Recovery, and Production servers. This will be deployed in 3 regions, Commercial Bank Maldives, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. In Sri Lanka, the system will be accessible by all Commercial Bank branches.


  • Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management System

JIT together with WeDo Technologies’ (now Mobileum) commenced on the implementation of the Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management (RA and FM) System integration project in 2019. This project marked a key milestone in SLT’s digital transformation journey by using WeDo’s RA and FM system – which was recognized by Gartner, as a vendor to watch in a series of recent reports dedicated to Communication Service Providers (CSPs) operations.
